[ it was pretty obvious that Storm wouldn’t write something like that on the invitation. that wouldn’t be like her at all. he was sure that she didn’t invite Wade though. Logan pretty much noticed it and, honestly, he wasn’t the kind of guy who liked going to big celebrations like that. he practically thought of not coming at all but this was Storm they were talking about. this was something big for her. Storm and Logan were very close and he didn’t want to ruin it for her. when he was about to make a sarcastic comment about it, he stops altogether once he had a glance of Wade’s face. okay. it wasn’t all there but Logan knows when this guy wasn’t, well, himself. the voice he used when he asked made him somewhat feel bad and that alone is a first. he tries to think of something snarky to say but he couldn’t. Wade was one of the few people who even stand to stay with him and he probably broke the man’s heart just with that one sarcastic comment. he scrambles for words. ] “Well, technically, it didn’t say tha’, no. She jus’ didn’t invite ya. She barely knows ya after all.” [ he wasn’t sure if that made things any better but he wasn’t good at making people feel better in general. ]

[ he lets silence over-take them both before slamming his fist onto his head a couple of times just to punish himself for what he was about to do. ] “No. We ain’t gonna do tha’.” [ a pause. ] “But ya can stay on the bed. I don’t give a fuck anymore.”

It was a good save, but that’s all it was. He wasn’t naive or anything even if people seemed to think he was. Wade was well aware of what people thought of him. He was annoying, frustrating and pushed everybody away when all he tried to do was keep people close. Overbearing to put it simply. It didn’t help most thought he was the bad guy because of what he did, but Wade Wilson was not a hero. Why would he expect people who actually were to accept him? He didn’t. “I probably wouldn’t have shown anyways. Big crowds, not my specialty.” He murmured, trying to help save Logan from the comment the mutant had made. It still didn’t make the blow any less painful.

The topic change was a god send as far as he was concerned. Really he’d been expecting to be told to get out, not Logan inviting him to sleep in the bed with him. There wasn’t going to be an argument coming out of him, though. Shuffling up from the floor, he crawled into the bed beside him but made sure to keep some type of distance. The whole wedding conversation sending a reminder to him that people didn’t like him and as far as he knew, Logan wasn’t an exception.

“I sleep in the nude. That gonna be okay for ya?” It was entirely a joke.
